The Saudi Arabian government has announced the mandatory implementation of the 'Luggage-Free Traveller' Initiative for haj pilgrims, including those from Brunei Darussalam. Through the initiative, the process of weighing and sending the luggage is carried out prior to the flight date. The initiative was introduced as one of the efforts to improve the experience of the country's pilgrims by reducing the burden of handling luggage, thus contributing to the smooth movement of pilgrims, especially during the return process from the Holy Land.​
